WEI HAI WEI - PORT EDWARD

Wei Hai Wei - Port Edward was leased from China and so was different from the other Treaty Ports. The territory leased consisted of an area of 285 square miles including the island of Liu Kung Tau and a wide strip of sea around it.

Notes

The existence of the AR handstamp on a size K postal stationary envelope is recorded in the HKPSJ #7 and confirmed by Goldsmith in June 2002.

The research on the G, H and J cancels, along with the transparencies and images was done by Jean Paul Beck and appeared in an article in the Hong Kong Study Circle Journal June 2012.
